  • Writer-in-Residence at Adirondack Mountain Writers' Retreat 4-day Creative Writing Workshop Summer ‘09

Irene Sherlock to Lead Summer Writing Workshop –– Summer 2010

Writer, poet and teacher Irene Sherlock will lead a four-day creative writing workshop at the Adirondack Mountain Writers’ Retreat, Summer 2010, in the Lake George Region of New York. Up to ten writers with a work of fiction, memoir or personal essay will participate in the writing-intensive experience at a rustic and remote log lodge. Seminars, campfire readings, discussions and private consultations with Sherlock will help writers move their projects toward publication.

As the 2008 and 2009 workshop presenter, Sherlock’s teaching was subsidized by Poets & Writers, Inc. Students in each workshop requested her return, and one commented, “Irene created an environment that was firmly defined - critiquing was honest, direct and heartfelt, but always offered with kindness and respect.” Those interested in participating in the 2010 workshop may find more information at www.PersisGranger.com, or contact the organizer, Persis Granger, at PersisGranger@aol.com or 518-623-9305.
